About the JCP&L Energy Savings Rewards program

JCP&L is making electric vehicle (EV) adoption more accessible, convenient and affordable. As our customers transition to electric vehicles, JCP&L will work to provide the necessary energy and charging solutions to meet the diverse charging needs and manage the overall impact to the electrical system. This program incentivizes residential customers for allowing JCP&L to leverage their Level 2 EV smart chargers or EVs to make brief adjustments to their charging level during periods of high electric demand.

With JCP&L Energy Savings Rewards program, you’ll receive a $75 Prepaid Mastercard for enrolling your qualifying Level 2 smart charger and allowing JCP&L to make remote adjustments to your charger’s energy use during periods of high demand for electricity. You’ll still have plenty of time for a full charge each day. You’ll also earn $10 for each additional month of participation

By participating in these energy efficiency and peak demand reduction programs, customers agree to allow their utility to retain ownership of all Capacity Rights which refers to the demand reduction associated with any energy efficiency and peak demand reduction measure for which incentives were provided by the Company. Your utility will aggregate these energy efficiency demand reduction attributes into the PJM capacity market with proceeds being used to offset the program costs.
