About APS Storage Rewards
Home batteries can help you store clean energy generated by a home solar system or simply provide backup energy in case you need it.
By enrolling in the APS Storage Rewards pilot, you’ll receive a bill credit at the end of the season for allowing APS to use the energy stored in your battery during times of high demand. The amount you are compensated is based on the performance of the battery storage system during events. How well a battery storage system performs depends on the battery storage system size, configuration and internet connection. Please consult your battery storage system vendor for more information about your battery's expected performance. For more information about how compensation works, view the FAQs.
A customer who has a seasonal discharge average of 2.5kW of energy would receive $275.

Participants must be on a residential rate plan. Before enrolling, be sure to check which rate you’re on. Some battery manufacturers will reserve the battery’s power so it can maximize the energy released during an event. Because event hours may not align with on-peak hours, your home’s on-peak energy use may increase.
Solar customers with a Resource Comparison Proxy (RCP) or Net Metering buyback rate will still receive compensation for their solar energy sent to the power grid. If you have solar and participate in the program, you will also receive compensation for the average kW your battery releases during the season.
