Eversource Battery Incentive FAQ for ConnectedSolutions in Massachusetts 

Performance incentive payments are issued via check at the end of the calendar year.

• Your payment will be based on your average power (kW) contribution during peak energy events. A typical home battery could contribute up to an average of 4 kW per event which would earn $1,100 for the season

• If you are a ConnectedSolutions+ participant then you may receive rewards based on enhanced incentive rates

• The customer’s average performance over the season would be: 4 kW

• The total performance incentive for this fictional customer for the season would be:

  • Average Season Performance = (3 𝑘𝑊 + 4 𝑘𝑊 + 5 𝑘𝑊 ) / 3 = 4 𝑘𝑊

  • 4 𝑘𝑊 ∙ $275/𝑘𝑊 = $1,100

• Customers will be paid in accordance with their SunStrong agreements by the end of the calendar year

• Loan customers will receive a loan balance reduction and Lease customers will receive a Sunnova bill credit

• Communications about your incentive will be sent from noreply@communications.sunnova.com

• Lease customers receive a flat bill credit every month not based on performance and will not receive a lump sum at the end of the season

  • 4 𝑘𝑊 ∙ $225/𝑘𝑊 = $1,100 will go to their loan balance reduction

• You can claim your incentive after you receive your instructional email from Sunrun Reward Center. Once the email has been received, you’ll visit the Sunrun Reward Center redemption portal, and log in to your profile. If you are a new user, you’ll need to create an account with the same email you’re receiving all Sunrun communication.

• After logging in and clicking the “Claim Your Reward” button, you’ll click the “Get Rewarded” button within your dashboard. You’ll then decide if you’d like a physical or e-card. You’ll then confirm your account information and submit your info. Your status will read as processing until you’ve received an email alerting you to your change in status that your gift card is now ready for you to use.

• If you requested a physical gift-card you will need to activate the card before use and instructions are provided in the acceptance email.

  • Then depending on the battery you’ve purchased your total will either be: $950 if you own a LG chem and $800 if you own a Tesla battery.

Incentive payments for performance will be made by the end of the calendar year, paid as a Tesla in-app account credit via direct deposit.

• Your incentive must be claimed via your Tesla app. You will receive a message in your app inbox and an email alerting you that you have an account credit. Please ensure that you have notifications enabled to stay up to date on all Tesla communication.

• From there you will go to your Tesla app and request a payout by tapping the banner with the name of your VPP (Virtual Power Plant), and then tapping “Request Payout”.

• You must add a bank account for the direct deposit.

• After completing this, you can expect payout in your account in 5-7 business days.
