About Rhode Island Energy EVDR program

Rhode Island Energy is making electric vehicle (EV) adoption more accessible, convenient, and affordable. As our customers transition to electric vehicles, Rhode Island Energy will work to provide the necessary energy and charging solutions to meet the diverse charging needs and manage the overall impact to the electrical system. This program incentivizes residential customers for allowing Rhode Island Energy to leverage their Level 2 EV smart chargers or EV to make brief adjustments to their charging level during periods of high electric demand.

With Rhode Island Energy ConnectedSolutions EVDR program, you’ll receive a $50 Prepaid Mastercard for enrolling your qualified Level 2 smart charger or EV and allowing Rhode Island Energy to make remote adjustments to your EV or charger’s energy use during periods of high electric demand. You’ll still have plenty of time for a full charge each day. You’ll be rewarded for using less energy when others are using more and help us maintain a healthy grid as EV adoption increases. You’ll also earn $20 for each additional year of participation.
