If you are an Appalachian Power residential customer in Virginia or West Virginia and own a smart thermostat connected to Wi-Fi to control your central AC, you may be eligible to participate!

Earn up to $75

Appalachian Power will reward you with a $50 pre-paid debit card just for enrolling in BYOT.

You also can receive another pre-paid debit card for up to $25 by allowing us to make small, temporary adjustments to your smart thermostat to conserve energy during peak demand times ($5 per month enrolled from May – September).

Stay in control

You can opt out of thermostat adjustments at any time from your thermostat, mobile device, or web browser.

We have decided to introduce an enrollment cap to ensure the utmost quality of our Smart Savers Rewards program and maintain the personal attention and dedication that our customers love. This will help us provide each of you with the outstanding experience you deserve.

We understand that being part of the Smart Savers Rewards community is important to you, and we want everyone to take advantage of the opportunity. In order to accommodate as many customers as possible, we are introducing a Standby Enrollment List. Customers on the Standby Enrollment List will receive notification of future enrollment opportunities.

Our Standby Enrollment List will operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage interested customers to sign up for the list as soon as possible. Taking this step will ensure that you will be notified when the program expands. Thanks to your valuable feedback, we will continue to make our program even better and enrich your experience with us.

Customers who are already enrolled in a summer electric demand response program are not eligible to enroll in Smart Gas Savers.
